ORANGERY AT GLEN ISLE | ITALIAN BYO | RESERVATIONS ONLY
Glen Isle Estate formerly the Sign of the Ship, is the Original Ship Inn Tavern which is now located in Exton. Rich in history, Glen Isle is named because of the two streams that split the property setting the house on an Isle between them. From George Washington to Abraham Lincoln, Glen Isle has played an important role in the development of Downingtown and our Country. The original land grant dates back to the late 1600's. With the main house, the barn, carriage house, spring house and green house, the gardens of this hidden gem create a time of long past. During spring and summer months, horse and carriage arrived for the afternoon tea parties to watch the flowers bloom under the cool shade of the majestic trees that abound the 8 acre property. Come join us for a wonderful evening of food and drink and learn more of the historic importance Glen Isle has to offer.
